First Blog For The Insecure Writer's Blog Hop!

Having a full time job and looking after the daily grind of running a busy household with teenagers, makes it hard to find the time to work on my next book, but haven't made the millions yet, so can't give it up, have bills to pay, you know!

Have almost completed the written draft and have typed up 10000 words, but there is still a long way to go. I don't mean to be a winger, but it would be nice to have more time to work on the things you really want to do in life!

My dream would be to have enough money to sit at home and just write! Wouldn't life be simple and enjoyable if everyone could just do the things they want to do, the things they dream to do!

Those moments of time when we can write are so precious! We just have to find a way to make it happen.

I feel the same way. I write in some chunks of time throughout the day and by the time I go to bed I have something accomplished. Good luck to you!

I juggle all sorts of craziness too, but have found that writing lets me be sane and focused when necessary.

When the time is right, you'll fill your own dreams too. Getting 10,000 words down is a great start! :)

Ah yes, time. It is so elusive, especially with teenagers in the house. I'm in the same boat, as well, though my son will be leaving for college in a few short months, then I'll have all the peace and and quiet I can handle. I'm working on my second book so I know how precious that is.

It's nice to meet you, CM. I found you through Alex Cavanaugh's Insecure Writer's Support Group and am a new follower. Feel free to come on over to my place sometime.

My problem isn't time, I fortunately work part-time. It's managing my time wisely and dealing with the guilt of NOT writing when I do have the time.

10,000 is nothing to shake a stick at!! Awesome progress. :))

Those bills always do seem to get in the way, don't they?

It sounds like you're making good progress though!

I'm here through the Campaign. :)

And I think that's a dream of a lot of writers to just be able to sit and write. Every little bit of writing counts, though, even if it is just 15 minutes here and there.

I often contemplate that dream of unlimited writing time. I find comfort in the fact that all writers long for this and simply don't have it. Sometimes it is the things and people who fill my time that inspire me with what to write.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Carolyn. See you around the Campaign!

Thanks for your thoughts Cherie, at the moment I am finding it hard to pack even that into my days!
