Well unfortunately, here in South-East Queensland we have been inundated with torrential rain which has caused major flooding and the festivities organised by the various council's and other organisations have been cancelled!
Luckily the rain has eased today, but the forecast for the next few days is looking bleak.
But don't get me wrong we are still celebrating Australia Day, but just in a different way than usual.
At the moment, although we are home, my husband and I have the stereo up loud tuned into the Triple J Hottest 100!
Although this is the norm for us on Australia Day even when we are out and about, this year we get to experience it at home.
