1. MOVIE:

I was trying to think of something really cool, but after some thought deciding to be honest, I would have to say:

Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze!

2. BAND:

     SWEET

Original Members - Steve Priest, Brian Connolly, Mick Tucker, and Andy Scott.

HERE IS THE SONG I LOVED OF THEIRS - THE BALLROOM BLITZ

BECAUSE I LIKE ANIMA - THIS IS THE DEATHNOTE VERSION - ENJOY!!!

     3.  BOOK

     IT HAS TO BE  -

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

    By:

    Douglas Adams

I still have one of the original copies packed away somewhere in the house. I have read this book an amazing amount of times and just never get sick of it.

My favourite character in the story: Zaphod Beeblbrox

    4. PERSON:

I could say my husband (Paul), who has been the love of my life, but the very first boy I thought that I loved was Lennox. I was in third year high school and I had his name written everywhere - on my books, my shoes, me ....

I was lucky, he went to a private boys school the other side of town, so he never saw his name plastered on everything I owned. After school finished the relationship just petered out!

I walked into a bakery one day up here on the coast, just after delivering my second child, low and behold there he was standing in front of me! At least he recognized me and stopped to chat!

I loved Dirty Dancing, too. I do remember my first love, but I went with my hubby today. :)

Lennox was possibly more of a crush than a love but it was nice to remember him!

You made some great choices today; love Dirty Dancing and Ballroom Blitz (and Death Note too!)

So cool that you bumped into Lennox, I'm now Facebook friends with my first love and we had a long chat catching up on the last several years.

Those outfits on Sweet are something else - singers used to have such fun dressing up in those outfits! Loved Hitchhikers Guide - great story :)

My husband made fun of Dirty Dancing for years until I finally made him watch it - and he had to admit it was good.

Lennox, what a great name. Funny to run into him years later.

The 2nd person I've read that referenced Dirty Dancing. I still quote that movie sometimes. Love it. :)

Dirty Dancing was a real coming-of-age movie, eh? :) I thought the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy was a good First Book Love.

Thanks for dropping by my blog :)

First one to select The Sweet today! They had some hits, many of which have been covered by other bands.
Thanks for participating in the blogfest!

I love Sweet! I'm a glam rock girl at heart. I was at a music festival with my kids last weekend, and a Meatloaf lookalike sang Little Willy. The kids were highly amused, and just a little incredulous... time for the greatest hits album to come out again lol

    Paula Martin said...

Hitchhiker's Guide was such fun, I loved it.

    Tasha Seegmiller said...

Hmm...Dirty Dancing is the only thing here that I recognize. And I didn't even see that until my late high school years. I think my mom thought it would corrupt me or something :)

    Nancy Thompson said...

I still love Dirty Dancing and I watch it every time I catch it on the TV lineup. Great choice!

    Unknown said...

Alex, what a great idea you had with this, it has been really fun checking out every ones first loves. A lot of response too! Yes the Sweet, gotta love em!

    Unknown said...

Ah Meatloaf, the thing that turned me off him, was all the sweat!!! But I must say, he did have a good voice, or should I say still does!

    Unknown said...

    Thanks Paula.

    Unknown said...

You did lead a sheltered life! I had a childhood like that as well, but I was allowed to go out with a girl who was my third cousin and her folks were close family friends as well and so she was trusted. Our parents would pay for taxis to take us to the movies, we would catch another taxi and go to parties or dances. A bit of a bad girl at the time!

    Unknown said...

    Yes me too!

    Unknown said...

    That it was Allison.
