EXPRESS YOURSELF

HOSTS:
&
Jackie @ Bouquet of Books

What is the biggest challenge you face socially?

I am always late! I know it isn't very appropriate, and quite bad manners, but I am always five to ten minutes late to appointments, meetings, work and meeting up with friends.

No matter how hard I try, I just cannot get there in time!

I think I just have so many things I try to pack into my day, I am just too busy to be puntual!

I am a bit of an introvert. I can do well in social settings. Just not 24/7.

I know people who can blab and laugh non stop. Sometimes I just need to go off by myself and read or write in silence.

My best friend from high school was always late so we just started telling him a time that was thirty minutes earlier. Then when he was late, he was actually on time.

Seems you might need help proportioning your time.

You'd fit right in where I live. Our little laid-back mountain town runs on a slow clock. Church services, appointments, whatever-- people have an automatic 10-15 grace period.

Express Yourself sounds like a great meme! There's a nice variety of topics every week.
Have you always been unpunctual? And has it gotten better, or worse as time passes?

I'm really shy, and I blush easily. Not a good combination! Have you ever tried putting your clocks ahead ten minutes?

Shyness, probably, but I've gotten better about it. For punctuality, maybe you should set your watch ahead, or write a list of things you can do ahead of time. Hope these suggestions help.
Happy weekend, everyone.

I'm the same way, late to everything! I've been attempting to work on it lately, but nothing much helps!

I spend a lot of time by myself, and have a sort of fear of group environments...so often times I try to find a way out of group plans at the last minute...unhealthy, I know, but I'm working on it!

I'm with Alex - a couple of my friends are forever late, so we just give them an earlier time. ;)

Me, too! It's so bad, I know, but I try and try, only to still be late!
