WHAT LANGUAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEAK
AND WHY?
This is something I haven't ever really thought about as I found learning French in High School quite a challenge!
It was more the writing side of it that I struggled with, not exactly the spoken words. I do still remember a little bit.
This is going to sound strange, but as I am writing the answer to this Meme, the language I would most like to be able to understand has come to me - I would really like to be able to understand and speak Klingon. I know it is a bit geeky, but I really like Star Trek and it would be great to be able to understand the Klingon language.

And I would love to learn to speak French. It truly is like speak in "silk", even while cursing someone out.
I'd also LOVE to learn Japanese. I started with the basics several years ago but haven't had the chance to pick it back up.
You learn that Klingon and I'll just listen.

I don't think I would ever be able to form the words, or should I say sounds correctly.

Klingon Scrabble - that's great! Now, I got to check my Christmas list because someone HAS to get that!
From my teenage years, I've harboured a secret desire to speak French! I even bought a pocket-book French/English dictionary a long, long time ago... I wonder what happened to it? Probably lying somewhere in a cupboard at my mom's place...
I'll pass on the Klinon Scrabble but will gladly play Wine Scrabble. Easiest game to play. You can slur your words and still be right!
Klingon Scrabble sounds like it's straight from the Big Bang Theory!

I studied French up to uni, but then kind of crashed out. I've been in France a few times recently and make the mistake of going up to someone to ask directions or whatever in French, then giving them a blank look and having to admit I'm not fluent when I don't understand the answer! Klingon sounds like quite a commanding language with some difficult guttural sounds, but I'm sure you could learn it if you set your mind to it. :)
