After having an extended break from blogging, I intend to get back in and visit my old buddies and hopefully pick up a few new friends. I am at the moment updating and refreshing my blog and when I finish will start the rounds.
I have been spending a lot of time typing up Forces of Mist. For those who don't know it is a New Adult, Dystopian Sci-fi set in Sydney, Australia. This book will be a stand alone novel with a target of 80,000 to 100,000 words.
Although I have written up to the last two chapters, I have been procrastinating to finish.
I have typed 35,000 words, but have a lot more to type, lol!
I prefer to write my novels using the old fashioned method of pen and paper and then transfer them into a typed format, working on the first draft as I go.
I do hope to release Forces of Mist late this year and for those who previously showed an interest in Beta Reading, I hope to contact you all very soon.
If you are reading this and would also like to be a Beta Reader please leave your details in the comments box below and I will most definitely contact you.
With a full time working life, I find I only have a limited amount of time to spend on my writing, so even though this book is taking a long time to complete, I do feel I am happy with it's progress.
I hope you are working towards you own goals for 2015 and wish everyone a successful writing year.
Cheers!

It's not easy working full time and pursing the writing career. Time is always a rarity, but even just getting the energy to write after a tough day is a big challenge.
Good luck, and I know you'll finish Forces of Mist.
Hi Carolyn!
Congratulations on your achievements with your work in progress. Despite the set back you mentioned, you seem to be making a lot of progress! And you know I'd love to beta read if you'll have me!

Hey Carolyn,
It's good to see you back. Lots of changes going on here. I'd say you're doing pretty darn good writing that many words with a full time job. I'm working full time too. I know it's hard. So good for you!
I don't write my entire manuscript on paper anymore, but I still like to sit down with my notebook and write a scene. Wishing you all the best with Forces of Mist!
Congrats on being so close to the end. Anything set in Australia intrigues me! If you're planning on it being out later this year, you must write really fast. I am a slow writer and am looking at next spring for my newest to "come out."
Good luck to you, and I LOVE your covers!!! Also, if Jeremy doesn't "need" you on his A to Z team this year, would you consider working with me? If you'd like to, please email me at writeme@lisabuiecollard.com and I can give you details. I'd love to have someone on my team who has done this before...! Thanks and good luck!
Glad you are almost done! I enjoyed reading the snippets last year during the Challenge.
Yeah those jobs really get in the way. Just have to keep on keeping on. It's only a matter of time until you reach the end.
I've done a few stories I've written by hand and then typed up later. Always had lots of edits as I went.
Don't forget I want to beta read for you. =D
Hi again, Carolyn! I'd love to take you up on your offer to beta read :) I have a new project I'm very excited about and would love your keen eye on it! My email address is randi.lee@mail.com.
I can hardly read my own hand writing so that would not work for me. I know lots of authors that hand write in notebooks first though. Surprising.
Thanks for dropping by my blog on Blitz Day!
Great to hear you're near the end, Carolyn! Keep me in the loop, I'll be happy to help promote.
