A-Z REFLECTIONS

Wow, it is over. Every year after the A-Z Challenge the blogger world always seems a little flat.

A-Z was certainly a challenge for me this year. I joined Jeremy's (Retro Zombie) team of minions (Tara Tyler and River Fairchild), to help weed out the unwanted from the very large list of participants. Unfortunately, poor Jeremy had medical issues which upset the overseeing of the challenge for him and us three ladies plodded on without a leader, even though the great Arlee Bird (founder of the Challenge), picked up the reigns of our team and we were able to continue our support.

For the challenge, I posted excerpts / teasers from my yet to be finished and a long way off from publishing, new novel, "Forces of Mist," a dystopian sci-fi set in Sydney, Australia, which was a hit with everyone who visited, even receiving a mention from Alex Cavanaugh during the challenge.

All the wonderful comments and the interest have left me feeling very humbled and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the positive comments and a big thank you to Randi Lee and Patricia Lynn for their visits and encouraging comments every day.

During the month I had a major modem malfunction and had to purchase a new one. I also had conflicts with "Windows" which decided not to download updates for my computer  (Windows 7), still fighting with this one. Might need to buy a new lap top in the immediate future. So these problems took up a lot of my time and I was unable to visit the number of blogs I would have liked.

Even so, I endeavoured to reply to every comment and paid back the visits I received each day. Being better organized with my posts this year helped a lot and when my internet had the hiccups I was able to post the prepared material from my mobile, so this made it easier.

Overall, I am a happy participant of the A-Z Challenge and look forward to taking part again next year.

It's nice that with smart phones, we can still get online and do things when our computers (and routers) decide not to behave. You have a great story in the works and I'm looking forward to when it's finished and available.

Congrats on making it through the challenge! The blogging world seems a lot less active now, doesn't it? I keep checking my email constantly and then thinking, "Oh, right...it's over..."

Terrible time to have problems with your modem, but getting through anyway was quite an accomplishment!

You did the A to Z challenge through your mobile? Now that's even more impressive!

Making through the A-Z is an accomplishment. Replying to all the comments and repaying the visits is amazing. Congratulations.

Congratulations on completing the challenge. It's quite an achievement to make it through whilst having computer issues and being a minion. :-)
