Ah ha! Today, is the first day of posting for the A-Z Challenge. And, if you don't already know, from the A-Z Theme Reveal, I will be posting short excerpts, possibly better named Teasers, from Forces of Mist. A sci-fi, dystopian novel, set in Sydney, Australia. And, just to shake it up a bit and keep you all guessing about the story, these excerpts / teasers, will not be posted in any particular order.
After pouring a couple of stiff neat scotches, he walked back to where she sat and handed her a drink.
Sarah let the smooth spirit slide down her throat, allowing it to help her to find enough courage to deliver her story.
“I went out to the outcrop and found the city quiet. There was no movement of the enemy on any front, but when I headed back to base, I was stopped by a lone Mist Warrior, who took control of my vehicle and maneuvered me to the eastern side of the range. I have no idea why he didn’t kill me, or why he changed my course of direction. My reasoning would be, he didn’t want me to take my original route and maybe discover some type of alien force building in that area. Why didn’t he just kill me, I cannot say?” She stopped and took in a deep breath, feeling a little relieved to discuss her ordeal with someone she could trust.

Love your font! And the book cover alone makes me want to investigate.
Cool. Can't wait for more teasers.

Sounds very intriguing, hope to see more :-) Aliens and mystery
I love the cover. I enjoy dystopia & have never read a book set in Australia. I'll be adding this to my TBR list.
Alien force! I'm intrigued.
Hi, Carolyn! Nice excerpt and I like the idea for providing the scenes in no particular order. Clever theme idea for the Challenge!
Happy A to Z-ing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines

Absolutely adore this line. Nicely written!
Oh wow, my first A to Z in 2012 was about my trip to Sydney. I loved it. Looks like your version of Sydney has some issues. Look forward to reading more.
good stuff - and mixing it up makes for a confusing fun time.
great way to promo your book. hope it goes well.
Great teaser btw
Happy A to Zing
That's a good teaser to start with. Leaves you wanting to know the answer to her questions.
What a great take on the prompt
Thanks for all the kind, positive comments. It is great to receive encouragement to continue with the project.
All the best for A-Z, everyone!
Just the right amount of tease--my instincts say don't trust whomever she is with right now--- I'd wait for the next installment with slight impatience, but I know it isn't as if I have nothing to read! All these great A-to-Z Challenger blogs!
I'll be back to get another taste tomorrow.

That sounds very interesting! And I love your cover, it's very eye-catching.
Hello there. Just stopping by to wish you all the best with your book and the challenge.
Entrepreneurial Goddess
I love your cover, and it was a fun excerpt, but the larger small "a" in the excerpt was killing my eyes. :( Maybe I've been reading too many blogs, haha.
Looking forward to more from you. :)
