Lothan tossed a knapsack and blanket tied with rope at David early the next morning before he'd had a chance to blink the sleep from his eyes. Not that he'd slept all that much. Wild dreams plagued him all night as he tried to find a comfortable spot on the floor. Dreams of his father, still alive and wandering through this strange land. Dreams of battles and conquests. Dreams of hardship and hunger.
