My insecurity is that time just disappears!
Where it goes, I just cannot figure out. I wake up in the morning with great plans to write and catch up on my book reviews, but I just never seem to get much done!
I am also becoming addicted to Goodgame Empire, which is very distracting. Have you played it yet? I always loved the original versions of this game, so when I found it recently I quickly became engaged in building my empire!
One positive, is that I have been busy helping other authors launch their new releases, which is a good thing, but I need a push to get back on track with my writing. I may have to go back to posting my monthly goals, just to help me commit. Will see.
This weekend I am going away for a few days break away from the house, and am planning to write and refresh the batteries. I just hope I will not get too distracted in things around me and not be able to achieve what I hope. It is not that I have writer's block, the ideas just keep coming, it is just that I cannot get into the mood to produce! Oh well, hopefully I will achieve results over the weekend.
Wish me luck!
Carolyn

Lol! Time IS disappearing. I wake up in the morning, and the day seems endless and then - one cup of tea and a couple of blogs, and Facebook, Twitter and some email - and it's time for the kids to come home from school.
Funny thing is, when I was doing NaNo last year and stopped looking at the internet, time seemed to stretch out a little longer.
Enjoy your break!
Just don't take the game with you! Hope you get back into the writing groove this weekend. And glad you like the new site.
There are SO MANY DISTRACTIONS to keep us from writing. Sometimes I think it is good to allow them and to let your story germinate. Other times, they are just distractions. They are the thing that you are giving yourself to instead of your writing. I don't think you can wait until you feel like it. Start writing that story and allow the love of writing to make you want to expend your energy there.
I know you can do it!
Best of luck with getting refreshed and inspired.
Time does seem to fly. I hope you can find a way to get back to it. Good luck.
I have this same problem, time just gets away from me! I need to learn to manage my time better. Good luck with your writing over the weekend! :)
Wish I could do that. But the wife and kids would only follow me.
Good luck to you and happy writing!
Time does get away from us, doesn't it. Sometimes if I leave the house to write, go to the local bookstore and sit in the café, it helps me concentrate on my writing.
Time disappears for me too. I blame The Silence from Doctor Who. ;)
I post my monthly goals for that exact reason. It helps me commit to them and I don't want to fail.
Hi, Carolyn,
Hope you get some writing done. Like you, I got time issues too, but I know I need to stick with a schedule.
I SO understand. Multiple committments= many ballos up in the air= one crazed Bev. We do the best we can.
I hope your break is recharging and that you sueeze in the time to write.
Thanks for your comment!
Bev

This happens to me too, sometimes. Maybe you just need to rest?
