A toast (roast) to Alex Cavanaugh (the Ninja Captain)!
Alex, I think what we are all saying is, we appreciate you.
I know that you always ensure your followers
are never forgotten and I have found that you
always try to help wherever you can.
Although I still do not know how you do it!
I am glad I stumbled upon your site
and feel privileged to
have gotten to know you a little.

Here’s my answers to the four questions:
Honestly, this is such a well guarded secret, I really have no idea. I am sure Alex's features show his kindness and compassion for others. I am not saying that he must be homely then, I bet he is one hell of a spunk!
In +/- 20 words, who could play Alex in a documentary? (Living or dead.)
I would like to see Brad Pitt play Alex in a documentary as he is great to look at.
In +/- 20 words, who does Alex remind you of?
Alex reminds me of a teacher from school, who is always there to lend a hand and give guidance to his followers.
In +/- 100 words, (excluding the title) write flash fiction using all these prompts:
Cavanaugh
Ninja
IWSG
Cosbolt
Guitar
Landing the Cosbolt as easily as his creator took on the
title of Ninja Captain, Byron slid open the cockpit and climbed out, stretched
and headed towards his quarters.
Passing through the dining hall he found some new recruits playing
an old fashioned instrument from Earth.
Byron wondered if the guttural up-beat tempo was what they had intended
to play on the guitar. If so it certainly was a far cry from the light and sound
experience of the Fesellan.
The letters I W S G and Cavanaugh flashed on his computer screen
and Byron wondered what they stood for. He tried to delve deeper but the station alarms sounded, he
was being called back to his Cosbolt. Would this war with the Vindicarn ever
cease?
For Bonus Points:
In +/- 40 words, leave a comment for Mrs. Cavanaugh - thanking her for sharing J
Thank Ms. Cavanaugh, for allowing Alex to spend so much of
his time on his blog giving helpful hints and support to all of us out here
trying to find our way. We are all very grateful for your patience and
understanding.

Oh I'd be fine with Brad Pitt, too! Enjoyed your answers Carolyn. (:
Great entry, Carolyn. I enjoyed your flash fiction!
Thank you, Carolyn! Brad Pitt is much better to look at than me. And so glad I found YOU in this blogging community. You rock!
Alex amazes me. I don't know how he does it all, but I'm glad he does. ;)
:) I almost took Brad Pitt but decided otherwise... but that definitely be a good pick!
I wonder if Byron will ever discover what the letters stand for? ;)
Envisioning Alex as Brad Pitt! Amazing stuff. I'm so appreciative of the fact that I know who he is so I can get the full force of the blog fest :)
A teacher? What a compliment, Ms. Brown. He's going to love that one for sure.
Brilliant piece! And I love how you wrote the flash piece using the Ninja's world.
Ohhhh... this was perfect! A lovely tribute! And I agree with the spunk! LOL
I forgot to thank Mrs. Cavanaugh in my post! You did a great job with this roast.
Mmm, yeah, Brad Pitt as Alex. Good choice!
Nice tribute to the Ninja :)
Hey C.M.,
I like your idea of Alex being a teacher - that makes perfect sense and is a perfect fit :)
Thanks for doing AlexFest - this is crazy busy, but fun heading to all the different sites :)
Nancy - Well even if Alex doesn't look like Brad Pitt, he has that persona!
Suzanne - Thanks!
Mark - Yes, I am sure you are busy! But I bet you are enjoying yourself.
Jay - Of course he is a teacher. He has always given me little pointers and helpful hints as I broadened my knowledge about blogging.
Melissa - Thanks Melissa!
Morgan - Thank you, glad you think so.
Cleem - You could always post the comment to Mrs Cavanaugh in Alex's comment box.

Michelle - Glad you liked the Brad Pitt choice.
Alex - So you don't look like Brad Pitt?
Melissa - Me too, Melissa!
T. - There you go Alex, others think of you as a Brad Pitt type too! Thanks T.
Laura - I do not know Laura.
Micheal - I can just see you know. A full belly laugh reading each entry!
Whoa! Brad Pitt. Hell yay!! He could play Einstein and I'd watch him.
Love that flash piece! Byron would figure it out eventually. I said Alex reminds me of a teacher too. He has that type of patient manner. :)
Huntress - Yes, I would agree.
Christine - Thanks and yes I do think of Alex as a teacher.
That's why I pick Hugh Jackman - that's who I would want to look at.
Brad Pitt! I love it. Eye candy can be very important when you're watching something for two hours:)
You're the first Brad Pitt. I was so sure others would pick him. Thats why I didn't. Haha. Excellent!
Ah, yes...Brad. He's so beautiful. ;) Loved your FF piece!
Great posting in this blogfest. Definitely enjoyed reading your flash fiction. I think the ending leads up to his next book The CassaStorm! I guess we'll have to wait for his book to find out if the war with the Vidicarn is over!
Nice tribute! I like how you inserted the guitar into his novel. Haven't seen anyone do that yet...

Thanks for the giveaway - I guess my Christmas wish would be for some cash.
It would be fun and interesting to have Byron join the IWSG. Great job with this post.
I agree that Alex is constantly teaching us life lessons. I would've been thrilled to have Alex or Brad Pitt as my teacher, as long as I didn't have to report to them in gym class! Julie
