TAGGED TO PLAY!

I HAVE BEEN TAGGED TO JOIN THE PLAY IN LUCKY 7
BY TWO  FELLOW CAMPAIGNER'S

DAISY CARTER
FROM

AND

TRACI KENWORTH
FROM

 The Rules:
1. Go to page 77 of your current MS/WIP
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines - sentences or paragraphs - and post them as they're written. No cheating
4. Tag 7 authors
5. Let them know

So here is my WIP, I have been working on this for about six months. Luckily, I have just reached this point in typing it up, as I work my first draft in the old fashioned way - pen and paper! As yet I have not edited any of my typing, or the draft, but this particular piece seems okay. This piece is taken from the second book in the series of The Protectors and will be titled "He Came For Mine!"

I hope you like it......

I could see that she was listening closely to my account of the events that took place.  Her face showed clearly how she felt and looking at her my guess would be that she never wanted to return there again.

This of course saddened me!  I wondered what our future could be if she did not wish to return with me to my world.  I knew that Auron would suffer without a male present in his life, but my life was now set.  I could not live here in this dimension with my love and my child, I was for now committed to my endeavours back in my own dimension.
This was definitely not the time to disclose this information, so I kept it to myself and just enjoyed the moment of being with Jazz and my child.
When the time came, would I be able to take Auron away from Jazz?  I pondered this thought as I held them both in my arms, basking in the enjoyment of just being together, even if it would only be for a short expanse of time!
~~~~
It was wonderful having Seb by my side.  I kept pinching myself secretly to ensure that I wasn’t dreaming.
Auron took to him immediately and once the initial tension of being apart for so long wore off, it was like we had never been separated.
We fit together perfectly!
 So here are seven authors I have decided to tag:
 David P. King
Kevin Hiatt
Tara Tyler
Nancy Thompson
Tyson Devon
                                                   Elise Fallson
                                                 Stephanie Allen
Nicely done, C.M.!! I wonder at the other world and what it's like and the separation of family and then the coming together in the end. You took us full circle.
Sweet! Thanks for the tag. I highly enjoyed your segment. You're the second person to tag me with this meme. Guess that means I can't avoid it now. :)
Thanks Julia, I am glad it hooks you in!
I am glad that you like it enough to want to read more Linda. Thanks!
The world Seb comes from is a lot like the background pic behind my blog, at the point in time of this excerpt, his people are in the process of rebuilding after a huge battle and there is much to be done!
Jazz is unable to be there with him as she was the one who fueled the battle in his home world and the reason for the devastation!
No David, you had best take part, look forward to reading what you're working on at present.
Nice to meet you too CJ!
First, the picture of the seven fingered hand is creepy! lol!
Second, I really enjoyed your excerpt! You have me all kinds of curious about the different dimensions and the impending separation... wish my page 77 was more exciting but it ended up being a bunch of dialogue. Oh well. Anyway thanks for the tag, you're the second person to tag me and I've got my excerpt up. Let me know what you think when you get a chance. (:
Thanks for being curious about my created world Elise! I am going to visit your work now!
Thanks Cortney!
Great excerpt! I like the hints of world building in it, and I wonder why he can't stay with his family.
Hi, C.M.! I loved your excerpt. Your cover for He Came For Me is quite lovely. :)) I didn't get to participate in the 4th campaign, I had a ton going on in life and couldn't swing it. I hope everyone has a great time!
Unknown said...
Thanks Cherie! To answer your quesion - Seb's world was ravaged by war at the end of the first book, he became the ruler of his small society and is now committed to rebuilding! Jazz is unable to return to his world with him because the war stemmed from her presence there at the time!
Unknown said...
Thanks Candy, I am glad that you like the excerpt and the cover of the first book in the series! I really enjoyed participating in the campaign and have met some wonderful people and gained experience writing flash fiction, which I had never written before!
