Interesting! I have just spent some time looking over the Stats of my blog site and find it pleasing to know that most of my traffic comes via the 'Smashwords' site (This is good to know seeing they are my publishers).
My readers either connect to my blog by using Smashwords.com or the 'How to Publish an Ebook with Smashwords," on their blog site, where I published a blog post to win a mug! At this point, I must state that I have been really happy that I published my novel the Indie way, using Smashwords for my publisher and would suggest to anyone thinking of publishing an Ebook to think seriously about what they offer! I for one, am very happy!
I have found that my network expands the more I connect with other Blogger's which of course is really common sense, and that Blog Hops create new contacts and open doors to lots of other Bloggers'. Of course this is not news to any long term Blogger's out there, but to anyone new to this world of intellectual stimulation I would suggest that they have a go as I am sure with a little effort and some kind words you would be welcomed into this supportive world!
A new contact I have just recently had the pleasure of connecting with has been Alex J Cavanaugh. Alex has over 1200 members at his site and it is still growing! I have noticed the gowing number of 'hits' to my blog via Alex's is consistently growing.
But of course I think successful Blogging (and I know I have a long way to go), takes effort and a lot of time, but the rewards of meeting new, interesting people, expanding your knowledge base and selling larger numbers of in my case, 'my book', far outway any negatives!

First Blog For The Insecure Writer's Blog Hop!
Having a full time job and looking after the daily grind of running a busy household with teenagers, makes it hard to find the time to work on my next book, but haven't made the millions yet, so can't give it up, have bills to pay, you know!Have almost completed the written draft and have typed up 10000 words, but there is still a long way to go. I don't mean to be a winger, but it would be nice to have more time to work on the things you really want to do in life!
My dream would be to have enough money to sit at home and just write! Wouldn't life be simple and enjoyable if everyone could just do the things they want to do, the things they dream to do!

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!!
26 January 2012
Well unfortunately, here in South-East Queensland we have been inundated with torrential rain which has caused major flooding and the festivities organised by the various council's and other organisations have been cancelled!
Luckily the rain has eased today, but the forecast for the next few days is looking bleak.
But don't get me wrong we are still celebrating Australia Day, but just in a different way than usual.
At the moment, although we are home, my husband and I have the stereo up loud tuned into the Triple J Hottest 100!
Although this is the norm for us on Australia Day even when we are out and about, this year we get to experience it at home.
To enjoy some great music and listen to the top picks for 2011, tune your radio to 89.5 in Australia or you can stream Triple J through your internet:

Have a really great Australia Day!!

My Yearly Escape From Reality!
Just starting to recover from my party week at the Woodford Folk Festival, where I enjoyed many exotic foods, listened to interesting talks and watched comedy acts, found new bands to include in my large repitoire of music as well as catch up with old favourites, watch circus acts, freak shows and be entertained by Raw Dance (World Famous Male Tap Dance Group)! Watched as the Tashi Lhunpo Monks of Tibet created the sand mandala over the week and I also made it to the top of the hill to watch the first sunrise of 2012 at 4.30am, New Year's Day to partake in the dawn ceremony conducted by the monks.
What an awesome way to bring in the New Year with a whole week of entertainment! Love it and visit every year! I have added a few photos for your purusal, below.
Well now back to reality!
I have just added myself to a very big Blog Hop which runs on the first Wednesday of each month thanks to a fellow author, Alex J. Cavanaugh. Many thanks to Alex for organising the many activities he shares with his followers! Follow my links to his Blog Page and take a look, I am sure you will find something to interest you!
Well, I have finished my first draft of my second book, "He Came For Mine" and have started to format it using the Smashwords Guidelines. I hope to have it ready for publishing as an eBook by the end of the year! So it looks like I am going to have a busy year.
Wish me luck!

A Christmas Thought For All!
There is a list of folk I know
All written in a book,
And every year at Christmas time,
I go and take a look.
And that is when I realise
That these names are a part
Not of the book they're written in,
But of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone,
Who has touched my life sometime
And in that meeting the've become
The "Rhythm and the Rhyme".
I really feel I am composed
Of each remembered name,
And while you may not be aware
Of feeling quite the same.
For once that you have known someone
The years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word
Or of a friendly face.
So never think of Christmas cards
Are just a mere routine
Of names upon a list, forgotten inbetween
For when I send a Christmas card
That is addressed to you,
It is because you're on that list
Of folks I'm indebted to
And whether I've known you
For many years or few,
In some way you have had a part
In shaping things I do.
So every year when Christmas comes
I just realize anew
The biggest gift that God can give
is knowing folks like you!
