CHEERS, CAVANAUGH BLOGFEST

 Hosted by

A toast (roast) to Alex Cavanaugh (the Ninja Captain)!

Alex, I think what we are all saying is, we appreciate you.
I know that you always ensure your followers
are never forgotten and I have found that you
always try to help wherever you can.
Although I still do not know how you do it!
I am glad I stumbled upon your site
and feel privileged to
have gotten to know you a little.

Here’s my answers to the four questions:

In +/- 20 words, what does Alex look like?

Honestly, this is such a well guarded secret, I really have no idea. I am sure Alex's features show his kindness and compassion for others. I am not saying that he must be homely then, I bet he is one hell of a spunk!

In +/- 20 words, who could play Alex in a documentary? (Living or dead.)

I would like to see Brad Pitt play Alex in a documentary as he is great to look at.

In +/- 20 words, who does Alex remind you of?

Alex reminds me of a teacher from school, who is always there to lend a hand and give guidance to his followers.

In +/- 100 words, (excluding the title) write flash fiction using all these prompts:

Cavanaugh
Ninja
IWSG
Cosbolt
Guitar

Landing the Cosbolt as easily as his creator took on the title of Ninja Captain, Byron slid open the cockpit and climbed out, stretched and headed towards his quarters.

Passing through the dining hall he found some new recruits playing an old fashioned instrument from Earth.  Byron wondered if the guttural up-beat tempo was what they had intended to play on the guitar. If so it certainly was a far cry from the light and sound experience of the Fesellan.

The letters I W S G and Cavanaugh flashed on his computer screen and Byron wondered what they stood for. He tried to delve deeper but the station alarms sounded, he was being called back to his Cosbolt. Would this war with the Vindicarn ever cease?

For Bonus Points:
In +/- 40 words, leave a comment for Mrs. Cavanaugh - thanking her for sharing J

Thank Ms. Cavanaugh, for allowing Alex to spend so much of his time on his blog giving helpful hints and support to all of us out here trying to find our way. We are all very grateful for your patience and understanding.

EXPRESS YOURSELF

Hosts
and
The question this week - What's your most memorable holiday gift? (present)

I have left this post a little late this week, too many other things have gotten in the way!

So, I am apologizing for my lateness!

The best ever present I have received for Christmas would have to be my push peddle car, when I was a little girl. It was a vibrant blue colour and so very modern! I had such a fun time driving down the road of my parents house, (we lived in a dead end), so it was possible to drive on the road without getting into too much trouble.  I was the envy of every kid in the neighbourhood!

I have added my name to so many blog hops and fests this month that I do not really know how I will be able to be involved in all of them to the degree of commitment I would like....

How does one turn an blind eye and not get involved in them?

I always have this urge to add my name to the linky list, to become involved, maybe meet new people and widen my audience and potentially increase book sales, because honestly this is our main purpose.

I also feel a need to pay back my supporters and try to help with their book releases and cover reveals. Because of this my TBR list continues to grow and then I place myself under another stress, trying to read the large number of books which seems to never stop growing!

Has anyone found a way to juggle and balance these insecurities? If so, I would love to know, how you have achieved it?

Desolate (Desolation #2)

by
Where darkness lives, all becomes desolate . . .

It’s been two months since sixteen-year-old Desolation Black chose Earth over Hell and her friend Miri over her eternal love, Michael.

Desi goes through the motions of life: school, training, remaining vigilant against the forces of darkness, but her dreams are full of the choices she wishes she could change. When she’s injured by a strange demon, old temptations arise, and the lines between good and evil blur. Desi discovers those choices aren’t so final after all.

And this time, the power of love—for a friend, for a lover—may not be enough to save her from the darkness that lurks within
TEASER:

Father chuckled, an easy sound that grated against my nerves. “Feel how the division within you is a weakness. It’s not too late to rebuke it and embrace all that you can Become—all that I created you to be.”

So how did I go with my November goals?
  1. Continue blogging and participate in the hops I have committed to.
  2. Re-edit and publish Book One in The Protectors.
  3. Start writing the vamp / journalist story
  4. Try to find reviewers!
Well, not very well, but I did attempt them. I did a lot of No. 1, probably fell into this trap a bit too much, which restricted time allowed for my other goals.  I did very little work on the re-edit, although I did a little writing of the vamp/journalist story and I did send off copies of both books to reviewers.

So a bit of a so-so month. Will try to achieve more in December, being on holidays will help, I will have more time.

DECEMBER GOALS:
  1. I will try to re-edit and re-publish Book One in The Protector series.
  2. Continue with writing the vamp / journalist story.
  3. Try to find time to connect with my followers, I have been a little slack with this lately.
And as I have somehow committed myself to an awful number of Blog Hops and Fests, I will also be busy involve with those.
